THUNDER!!!

We had a great time at Thunder Over Louisville this year! For the most part the weather was beautiful!! When we first arrived it was very hot and no clouds to shade the sun. The boys got creative and made their own shade (see slideshow). Tanner was successful in shading himself, but I'm not sure he was any cooler! After being there for about 2 hours some cloud cover came in and shaded the sun for the rest of the day - perfect conditions!! Our only complaint this year was with the sound system. During the day they play music and give commentary on the air show. The commentary was fine, but whenever they went back to just music the volume sky rocketed. I think everyone's ears were ringing by the end of the night. We did get some ear plugs from Jen Hancock for Austin. The fireworks weren't that loud, but the music and the jets were very loud. Austin did pretty well, but he did get a little spooked a couple of times. We went with the Hancock Family again this year and several families from their ward and stake. We had a big group this year. The boys had a lot of fun playing football, wrestling, and eating. It was a fun afternoon.

The evening was just as fun as the day. Jen brought glow sticks for all the kids to make necklaces. They were a hit of course! We got some fun pictures! At night they do a night air show (sorry no pics) and then the show begins! This year did not disappoint. The fireworks were fabulous!!! I tried to take pictures of my favorites, but there were too many so here is a sampling! We love THUNDER!!!!
