Tanner got the teacher that he wanted this year. He likes his class so far. His teacher seems to be well organized. I can't believe how fast Tanner is growing. He is the Big Man on Campus this year. Next year he will be off to middle school.
Kaden was excited for school to start this year. He really enjoys school. I think he just wants to start doing math again! Kaden loves to do math problems (he must take after Chad - he definitely doesn't get that from me!).
Trevor started Kindergarten this year. He has been excited all summer to start going to Tanner and Kaden's school. On the first day he was a little nervous. The nervousness was short lived though. He came home with a big smile on his face. This year there happens to be a lot of Kindergartners - 61 split into two classes. At orientation (the day before school) they told us that they were waiting for the Superintendent to okay the hiring of another teacher for a third class. They got the approval and of course Trevor got moved to the new class two days after school started. He is okay with it, but it is kind of a pain. We really liked the the first teacher he had and now he has the new teacher. We hope the new teacher is as good as the other teacher. Trevor is pretty easy going, he'll do great!
Devon gets to do preschool this year with me and some of his other friends. He is so excited to start. Everyday he asks me if it is time to go to preschool. Hopefully, he doesn't get too antsy because preschool doesn't start for a couple more weeks. It will be fun to do preschool with him, he is so eager to learn!!
After the boys got home from school on the first day we celebrated! A friend invited us over for an ice cream party!!!! The boys looked forward to that all day. Tanner was so excited that he piled the toppings high on his ice cream (he didn't make it half way through before he was full)!!! What a great first day!

The past few years we've gone out for ice cream after the first day of school (since school here starts the end of July and it's still 110 degrees out), but it's always so crowded. I love the ice cream party idea!
So fun...you guys are way cute...we miss you and I hear we will be seeing you soon. SO EXCITED!!! Now if I could just have this baby already!!! LOVE YOU ALL!!!
So glad everybody loved the first day! We talk about it every day here. I think school in August might not be such a bad idea:)
