Raingutter Regatta

This year Kaden was very excited to participate in his pack's Raingutter Regatta! We purchased the kit and Kaden painted and decorated his boat. He practiced his blowing skills and was eager to start the races.

Trevor really wanted to try out Kaden's old boat, so we brought that along with us. To Trevor's surprise and excitement, he was allowed to participate in all of the races.

Both boys did a great job. We didn't have any winner this year, but I think they both had fun and are already looking forward to next year! Kaden tells me that his boat didn't work for one reason, "We used the blow dryer." The glue didn't have enough time to finish drying, so we used the blow dryer to accelerate the process. Unfortunately, it bent the plastic rutter, which made the boat vear to the left. Lesson learned - we won't make that mistake twice!

Kaden and Trevor--Good looking boats! I guess there are always lessons to be learned, no hair dryers next year!

Good job both of you!!!
