Austin's Valentine's party

Austin and I have recently started attending a Friday Fun Day that one our friends puts together. Basically, it is a group of mom and their preschool age or younger kids that get together one Friday a month to have some fun.

The group took a break for the Christmas holiday and just recently started back up. This time around each mom is taking a month to be in charge of the activity. My friend, who was in charge of February, decided to do a Valentine's party and cookie exchange. She didn't think she had enough room at her house, so I volunteered to host the party. Once Austin found out the party was going to be at our house, he started calling it his party!

During the party the kids were going to exchange Valetine's cards, so we started looking for ideas. Austin loves Mickey Mouse, so we decided to would be the theme of the cards. We copied an idea we found on the Internet. We put Austin's head inside a silhouette of Mickey Mouse. It turned out really cute. Austin was pretty excited when he saw them printed out!

The kids had a great time at the party. As everyone was arriving the kids headed upstairs to play in the playroom. Once everyone arrived we called the kids down and the kid played a game called "Don't Eat Pete".

Next was the card exchange. It was a little crazy. We put the kid's bags a little too close together, so they were all running Into each other. It was kind of funny watching the whole scene.

After all the festivities, we finally let all the kids try some cookies. There were so many good options to choose from! We hadn't had lunch yet, so Austin wanted one of each kind, but much to his dismay I said no. He did enjoy the two picked though!

Austin had a lot of fun at "his" party. I'm glad he was able to do something fun with his friends!
