With all the rain we have had lately, new visitors have been stopping by. One day after our walk we were met by one of these visitors - Mr. Turtle. He was right in the middle of our driveway waiting for us!
The boys were very excited to see the turtle. He was really cool. He had the same coloring as our driveway, so we didn't see him at first. We had fun watching him. Mr. Turtle on the other hand, was a little unsure about us. He slowed down and hid for a while, but we were patient and let him know we were his friends.
Our neighbor came over and watched Mr. Turtle with us for a while. Then we got the idea to feed the turtle. We decided to give him a piece of lettuce.
I think Mr. Turtle was a little self conscious because he didn't do much with the lettuce. Something about three giants hovering over him while he eat may have been the problem!
We enjoyed Mr. Turtle's visit. Austin was sad to see him go, but we had to let Mr. Turtle get back to his family. I am sure he was anxious to share his adventure with them!
