A family tradition

Traditions make for wonderful family memories. We have enjoyed creating some of our own unique family traditions. One tradition we have was started by our boys (Kaden specifically). After every movie we watch the boys have a little dance party. This takes place as the credits are rolling and it is always a site to behold.

When the boys were younger they used to get up on our cabinets and dance - usually in front of the window. Now they dance in front of the TV. I think they feel like they are in the spotlight!

While my parents were visiting the boys put on quite the show. At first Kaden (our bravest dancer) was a little shy. Chad helped break the ice, by making a deal with Kaden. Whatever he said did the trick, soon Kaden was moving and grooving!

Once the movie credits were over we put on more music so the boys could keep dancing. Even Nana and Papa got into the act. I got a great video of their dance but unfortunately, I was warned never to let it see the light of day. It may not go on the blog, but it will definitely go in the family archives. Maybe it will show up at a 50th wedding anniversary celebration!

Kaden, Trevor and Devon really got into dancing, but Tanner opted to be a spectator. His only problem was he was sitting in between Nana and Papa. When they couldn't convince him to dance, they resorted to tickling! Loved it!! Aren't traditions great!
