We love living among so many beautiful trees. It is one of the things that sold us on this house! It is fun to watch the trees grow and change. However, as they change in the fall they lose their leaves and we get to rake them up. It is not one of my boys favorite jobs, but then again, they always love the play time afterwards.

As we rake, we move the leaves to the woods in the backyard and make one or two huge piles. The boys get excited as they see the piles begin to grow. One particular Saturday, the boys were really looking forward to playing in the leaf pile. They worked really hard all morning, especially Kaden, and finally finished after lunch. Once we were done the boys ran over to the pile and jumped right in. I quickly grabbed my camera so I could capture the joy and excitement.

Kaden told me all day that he was going to dive into the huge pile. He knew exactly what he was going to do once the raking was done. Sure enough, Kaden made good on his promise. He jumped in over and over again! Kaden also loves to be buried in the leaves.

Trevor dove right in as well. He is probably the highest jumper out of all the boys. It is fun to watch him jump into the leaves.

Devon is right behind his brothers. He likes to dive in, but he also likes to cover himself with leaves and then throw them all up in the air.

Tanner will dive in, but he really enjoys just sitting or laying down in the leaves. He also likes to watch his brothers and throw leaves.

Austin just likes being outside with his brothers. Whatever they did he tried to do also. I loved seeing the pure enjoyment on his face!

Racking isn't the funnest thing in the world, but as my boys found out the best things come to those who work hard and wait!
