Kaden

Kaden is becoming quite the artist!  He loves to doodle and draw comics.  When he wants to draw something new, he looks on the internet for a tutorial and he learns how to do it!  I'm impressed with how talented he is becoming.

Kaden is working on earning the Art belt loop for scouts.  One of the requirements is to create a personal logo and then put it on something.  Kaden decided that he would create his logo and then use iron-on transfer to put it onto a shirt.

Kaden came up with a bird sitting on a branch thinking, "Kaden's the man"!  He refined his sketch a couple of times and then colored it.  Then we scanned it into the computer and printed it out on special transfer paper.  This step took us a couple of tries, because the first time we did it we printed it out backwards - whoops!  We finally got it to work and Kaden was pretty excited to see the end result!

Great job Kaden!  You are becoming a great artist!

Kaden has also been improving his musical skills.  He has chosen to join the school band.  The instrument of choice is the saxophone.  He's excited to get started!  We were able to borrow a saxophone from a friend, so Kaden has already been jamming!!
