More fun in Utah!

While Tanner and Mason were having fun at EFY we were also having fun!  It started right after we dropped the boys off at Heritage Halls.  We walked around the corner to get some yummy ice cream from the BYU Creamery!  We can't go to BYU without stopping for some ice cream!

The kids also wanted to go fishing with Papa again, so we headed to the fishing pond.  We didn't catch much fish, but we had a lot of fun!

They learned how to do it all!

The little kids got a little bored of fishing after a while, so instead, they decided to play in the water and throw rocks!

We also went on walks and played on the playground in Nana and Papa's neighborhood.

One day we went to the Serra swimming pool.  It was fun to hang out in the pool for a while!  It's a great pool.  There is a huge walk-in area for the little kids, a diving pool, a lap pool and two water slides.

The big kids had fun going back and forth between the diving pool and the water slides.

The little kids enjoyed playing in the water on their own.  Austin, Colby and Arie kept Aunt Lindsay busy jumping off the side of the pool!

At one point we took a break and Papa bought everyone a special treat!

After swimming all day, we worked up quite an appetite!  Luckily, there was an In-N-Out Burger just across the street!

While we soaked up the sun at the pool, Chad and Aaron spent the day up at Sundance Ski Resort riding their mountain bikes!  It was a beautiful day and they had a blast!

More fun rides with Papa!!

One night we went out for dinner at Tucanos.  It's a really good Brazilian restaurant in Provo.  They grill meats, vegetables and pineapple, then serve them to you directly at your table.  It is so delicious!  The kids loved sampling all the different kinds of meat!

Our boys were introduced to geocaching during this week.  Uncle Aaron took the boys on a geocaching treasure hunt.  They were able to find some things, but the coolest thing was a geocaching pin.  Part of the fun of geocaching is once you have found the item you leave something in it's place for the next person to find.  Then you can keep the item you found or hide it in another location.  Uncle Aaron held onto the pin to hide in a new location!

One day we drove down to see the downtown Provo temple construction.  It's amazing what they can do with all old building!

We also enjoyed seeing some old friends while we were in Utah.  I was able to catch up with some of my college friends over breakfast one morning.  Ironically, we found out one of my friends actually lives just up the street from my parents!

On the eve of our departure home, we had a picnic with the Sanford's up in the canyon.  We roasted hot dogs and smores!  It was a beautiful night and we loved being in the canyon!  We miss being so close to the mountains.

The Sanfords have two girls, so we were curious to see how well everyone would get along.  It didn't take them long to warm up to each other.

Of course, they got along with Scott, he's the biggest kid of all!

We enjoyed barbecuing hot dogs and and s'mores.

Trevor tried barbecued grapes . . . and liked them!  He likes a challenge!

We also enjoyed watching Scott melt a plastic bottle over the fire.

It was fun to catch up with our friends!  We had a wonderful evening with them!

This vacation was the longest vacation we have ever taken, but it was one of the best.  None of us wanted to go back home.  We had such a wonderful time hanging out with our family in California and Utah!  We can't wait to get together with everyone again!!
