Flubber

One thing Nana was excited to do with the boys was make Flubber! Once she told Tanner what it was he was all for it. He kept asking when they could make the Flubber. We didn't have all of the ingredients, so he had to wait for a little while. New Year's Eve was the big day, we finally had the ingredients and we had the time.

Nana pulled out the recipe and added all the ingredients and viola . . . Flubber was born!! Tanner and Kaden enjoyed watching the Flubber form and then they had to touch it! Of course, once they discovered how cool it was, the other boys hurried over to check it out.

It was an instant hit. It was fun to see the boys all having fun with the Flubber. They liked to set some on the counter and watch it slowly grow into a big blob. It is cool stuff. They also enjoyed seeing how long they could make it.

I enjoyed seeing all the boys playing and having fun together. Age didn't matter, Austin enjoyed it just as much as Tanner! Thanks Nana, for introducing us to Flubber. We can't wait to pull it out again soon!!

Flubber

Solution A

1 1/2 c. warm water

2 c. Elmer Glue

Food Coloring

Solution B

4 Tsp Borax

1 1/3 c. warm water

Mix Solution A in one bowl and Solution B in another bowl. Dissolve both well. Pour Solution A into Solution B. Do not mix or stir. Just lift out flubber, it's neater than Gak or Slime. It's also a safe chemical reaction for the kids to see. It's fun to use a glass bowl for Solution B, so the kids can see the Flubber form in the bowl. It just becomes a cloud of rubbery stuff. Store in ziploc bags. If you half the recipe, you only need to half Solution A and it will work the same.
