Pool Party

On our way to Washington D.C. last week, we decided to split the 12 hour drive into two days. We left on Tuesday afternoon and drove to Charleston, West Virginia where we stayed the night in a hotel. I think the boys thought that they had died and gone to heaven, not only because we stayed in a hotel that night, but because we went to McDonalds for dinner that evening, which we only do on trips (something to do with the nasty feeling we get in our stomachs about an hour after eating there).

We arrived at the hotel after the pool had closed for the evening; however, we were all determined to swim, so we woke up the next morning, had a nice breakfast and quickly broke the rule about not swimming right after a meal. None of us got sick and we all had a great time relaxing and playing in the water.

All of us love to be in the water and the long winter has made us especially anxious to jump back in the water. We had a great time and provided some much needed entertainment for the other hotel guests who were mostly there on business. Although we got a later start to the second half of the trip than we had originally planned, we couldn't think of a better way to start our morning. If only every morning could begin with a breakfast that we don't have to cook followed by an hour or two of swimming.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who gets the nasty post-McD's feeling...

Wish we could play with you in the pool too! Great shots, especially love the smiley one of Brooke and Austin. So cute!
