Another Day in the Sun

Today was another party day. Tanner went on the fifth grade end of the year field trip with Chad to Holiday World (more on that later). The rest of us went to another end of the year party. This time our party was around lunch time. We packed a lunch and took it over to the party, but as soon as we got there the boys wanted to play and get wet. Our friend had a slip and slide, a kiddie pool, sprinklers, water balloons, and water guns. Yep, it was tons of fun! The boys had a blast.

Even Austin got in on the fun. He tried to shoot the water gun, but mostly he was just proud to be holding one! He also liked wading around in the kiddie pool.

Kaden and Trevor were off and running almost immediately. They hardly held still the whole time. They were having fun getting wet and getting their friends wet. They even started attacking some of the adults (who, of course, had to strike back)!

Kaden liked the slip and slide the best. It seemed like every time I turned around he was going down again.

Trevor liked going down the slide, but he had more fun squirting everybody as they slid down the slide. He had fun trying out the various kinds of squirt guns.

Devon was a little hesitant at first. He started to run down the slide and then of course he fell and slid the rest of the way. He didn't cry though. He got up and went back for more! Devon mostly hung out around the kiddie pool because he could fill up his water gun quickly after it ran out.

It was a pretty hot day, so playing in the water was a perfect way to spend the day. Unfortunately, I didn't put the sunscreen on as evenly as I thought I did. The boys all got a sunburn on their shoulders. Devon is the only one who didn't get a sunburn. I must have been more thorough with him. Tonight before bed we spent about 15 minutes just putting Aloe Vera Lotion on everyone!

Today was another great day. We are glad to have such wonderful friends that throw such great parties. We had a lot of fun! Thanks for a great day!
