Yesterday we got to the ball field at 11:30 am. It was starting to sprinkle when the game started. Trevor was 2nd at bat. He made it around all the bases and shortly after it started to downpour. The players and coaches all ran into the dugout as the spectators ran for cover. The field quickly flooded and the game was rescheduled for another day.
We hung around for a little while until the rain passed. By the time we left the ball field, the field was already almost drained. I was impressed! Outside the field was a different story. The fields drained so well that they still had the afternoon games, so Kaden and Devon still got to play their games.
We were at the ball field from 3 to 6pm. You would think the boys would be tired of baseball by then, but no they weren't. Kaden, Trevor, and Devon all headed to the backyard when we got home to play some more ball! We are glad they are having so much fun.
