Unusual Find

Today, Kaden and I were in search of some new in-line skate wheels. While we love the community where we live, we don't always love the fact that finding exactly what you need is not always easy. We went to several stores today and didn't have any luck finding any in-line skate wheels.

You know we were desperate because we decided that we would drive over to an old roller skating rink to see if they carried in-line skate wheels. We were a little surprised at what we found when we pulled into the parking lot. The parking lot was completely full. We finally found a place to park and went inside. At this point in the day, we weren't very surprised to learn that the roller skating rink did not have what we were looking for.

What did surprise us, however, was what we saw as we walked out of the skating rink. Apparently, the reason for the full house was some sort of fundraiser that involved a local medi-vac unit. We aren't sure if this was a fundraiser for the medi-vac unit or if they just brought the helicopter to draw more attention, but it was clearly there on display for some reason. We had a good time looking at the helicopter together for a few minutes. While we didn't find exactly what we were looking for today, we did find something that made the trip worthwhile and we'll find the in-line skate wheels soon enough.
