Trevor Loses a Tooth

The other night as we were getting ready for bed, Trevor lost his first tooth while he was brushing his teeth. He was very excited. After he rinsed his mouth out, he went downstairs to get a plastic sandwich bag for his tooth (the bag makes it easier for the Tooth Fairy to find the tooth). He placed the bag with the tooth under his pillow and went to sleep.

Historically, the Tooth Fairy has given the boys a silver dollar in exchange for a lost tooth, so Trevor was a little anxious that night as he went to sleep. The next morning, Trevor didn't say much about his lost tooth and made no mention of any findings underneath his pillow. After a few minutes, I asked him if he found anything under his pillow. He flashed a big smile and put his hand into his pocket. "I'm waiting to talk about that until we sit down at the breakfast table," he said with a smirk. Needless to say, he was pretty proud as he displayed his prize to the rest of the family.
