Penguin Cupcakes

Tonight our Cub Scout Pack held their annual Blue and Gold Banquet. One tradition they have is a cupcake decorating contest. Last year Tanner made an R2D2 cupcake and won first place. This year the contest was to be done by families instead of individual cup scouts. So since we have some extra family members here, we took full advantage of the situation. We decided to make penguin cupcakes. Lindsay found a cool pattern on the internet and we set out to recreate it.

We had a lot of fun creating the penguins. There were a couple of stressful moments (mostly when we looked at the clock - it seemed to be moving faster than normal). Everyone had a step in the process. The boys became experts in their part of the process. We all pulled together and got 12 penguins done seconds before it was time to leave. They turned out really well. At the banquet our penguins won the "Coolest" Award! The whole family cheered. What a team!

These photos made me nostalgic for our Christmas trip. Wish we could do it all over again! Miss you guys! Great job on the cupcakes, too.
